The internet is a big place and there are many different ways to communicate on it. Very popular ones involve using internet lingo or text messaging as it is also called, and to some of us we just do not know what everything, if anything means.

Some lingo/texting may look innocent but is far from it.

Here are a few of the top 20 lingo/texting words every parent should be aware of if the have a child who is online.

POS - Parents over Shoulder
PIR - Parents in Room
P911 or PA - Parents Alert
PAW or 9 - Parents Are Watching
PAL - Parents Are Listening
LMIRL - Let’s Meet In Real Life
KPC - Keeping Parents Clueless
ADR or addy - Address
WYCM - Will You Call Me
